H-R Diagram Station Lab - MS
This modular, student-led activity will keep your middle school students engaged while exploring the Hertzsprung-Russell (H-R) Diagram and how scientists classify stars. With everything included, you’ll save a ton of prep time while giving students the opportunity to guide their own learning.
In this interactive lab, students will describe components of the universe and use models for star classification with the H-R Diagram. This resource is perfect for both in-class and virtual learning.
Texas Teachers: This station lab aligns with the 2017 TEKS (not updated for the 2021 TEKS).
Differentiated, Modular, and Student-Centered
Each lab features eight differentiated stations plus a bonus challenge station, ensuring a personalized learning experience for every student. Teachers act as facilitators while students work independently or in small groups.
All signage, readings, and task cards are included. The Explore It! station may require a few simple materials you already have available in your classroom.
