This creative, standards-based resource allows students to choose a project format that fits their learning and output style, giving them ownership of their learning while helping them demonstrate their understanding in personalized, meaningful ways.
The project choice board includes six student-led options plus a “design your own” project, encouraging creativity and inquiry.
An editable grading rubric makes it simple for teachers, peers, or students to assess mastery of vocabulary, concepts, presentation, clarity, and accuracy.

To meet the diverse needs of your students, two versions of the project page are included:

A modified version featuring three scaffolded project options for students who need additional support or remediation.

A standard version for grade-level or advanced learners, with the option to assign multiple projects for enrichment and challenge—all using the same rubric.

No special materials are needed!
The Matter & Kinetic Energy Student Choice Projects use common classroom supplies like paper, markers, and scissors.
Many projects can also be completed digitally, making this resource perfect for in-person, hybrid, or virtual learning environments.
Optional craft materials can be used for model building or visual displays, allowing students to demonstrate understanding of matter and energy transformations in creative ways.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
