
Tectonics & Geological Events - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 7.10B
This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 7.10B standard by exploring tectonic processes and geological events. A choice board offers six structured project options plus a “design your own” pathway, giving students the flexibility to demonstrate their understanding in a format that best suits their skills and creativity.
An editable grading rubric is included and can be used by teachers, peers, or the students themselves. The rubric may also be modified to meet classroom or district grading expectations.

Differentiation
Two versions of the project page are provided:

Challenge Options: Advanced students may be assigned multiple projects while still being evaluated with the same rubric
This structure ensures that the resource can be tailored to meet the needs of a wide range of learners.
Supplies Needed
Projects are designed to be completed with common classroom supplies such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many options can also be completed digitally, while optional craft supplies may enhance hands-on projects like model-building.
