Transverse Waves - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 8.8A
This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 8.8A standard by exploring the properties and behaviors of transverse waves. A choice board outlines six structured project options along with a “design your own” pathway, giving students the flexibility to demonstrate their learning in the format that best matches their strengths, interests, and creativity.
An editable grading rubric is included, which can be used for teacher assessment, peer review, or student self-assessment. Teachers may also adapt the rubric to align with classroom or district expectations.
