Energy of Waves - Student Choice Projects, New TEKS 6.8C
This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 6.8C standard by exploring the energy of waves. Students choose how they demonstrate their understanding using a choice board that provides six structured project options plus a “design your own” pathway. This format allows learners to select the output style that best fits their strengths, creativity, and interests.
An editable grading rubric is included, which can be used for teacher assessment, peer review, or student self-assessment. The rubric is flexible and can be modified to align with classroom or district expectations.
What’s Included
