Laws of Motion in Systems Station Lab- New TEKS 8.7B

This modular, student-led activity is fully aligned with TEKS 2021 standard 8.7B and is designed to keep middle school students engaged while exploring how Newton’s laws apply to real-world systems. With everything included, you’ll save a ton of prep time while giving your students the chance to direct their own learning.

In this interactive lab, students will investigate and describe how Newton’s three laws of motion act simultaneously in systems such as vehicle restraints, sports activities, amusement park rides, rocket launches, and Earth’s tectonic processes. Perfect for both in-class and virtual learning!

Differentiated, Modular, and Student-Centered

Each lab includes nine stations that provide a personalized learning experience. Students work independently or in small groups while teachers act as facilitators, guiding exploration instead of directing every step.

All signage, readings, task cards, and resources are included. The Explore It! station may require a few simple materials you likely already have in your classroom.
