Biotic & Abiotic Competition Station Lab New TEKS6.12A
This modular, student-led activity aligns with TEKS 2021 standard 6.12A and will keep your middle schoolers engaged while exploring biotic and abiotic competition in ecosystems. With everything included, you’ll save a ton of prep time while empowering your students to take charge of their own learning.
In this interactive lab, students will investigate how organisms and populations depend on and compete for biotic factors (like food) and abiotic factors (such as light, water, temperature, and soil composition). Perfect for in-class or virtual learning, this lesson brings real-world life science to your classroom through hands-on exploration and digital activities.
Differentiated, Modular, and Student-Centered
Each station lab includes nine differentiated activities that allow students to create a personalized learning experience. Teachers guide and facilitate while students work independently or collaboratively, building a student-centered learning environment.
All signage, task cards, and resources are included. The Explore It! station may require a few simple classroom materials you already have on hand.
