These Matter in the Biosphere Student Choice Projects give middle school students the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding in creative and personalized ways while covering the TEKS 2021 standard 7.12B. Students explore how matter and energy flow through ecosystems by selecting from a variety of project options designed to fit their preferred output style.
Each project includes a detailed choice board, editable rubrics, and teacher support materials for seamless implementation in any classroom. Projects can be completed using common classroom supplies or digitally, providing maximum flexibility for in-person or virtual learning environments.

Supplies Needed
Projects are designed to use typical classroom materials such as paper, markers, and scissors. Most can also be completed digitally, making them ideal for 1:1 classrooms or distance learning.
