Succession - Student Choice Projects - MS
This Succession Student Choice Projects lesson gives middle school students the freedom to choose how they demonstrate their understanding of ecological succession. The project page outlines six different student-led project options plus a “design your own” project, allowing for creativity and personalization. A detailed grading rubric supports assessments by teachers, peers, or the students themselves.
These projects are flexible, dynamic, and multimodal, encouraging students to engage with key science concepts in creative ways while providing teachers with adaptable assessment tools.
