Acids & Bases - Student Choice Projects
Make learning about acids and bases engaging and personalized with these student-led choice projects designed for middle school science classrooms.
Aligned with chemistry and physical science standards, this resource allows students to select a project format that best fits their learning style, encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and ownership of learning.
The project choice board outlines six ready-to-use project options plus a “design your own” project for students ready to take their learning further.
An editable grading rubric makes assessment easy and consistent for teachers, peers, or student self-evaluation, giving you complete flexibility in how you grade.
Flexible, Creative, and Student-Centered
The Student Choice Projects are designed for both flexibility and differentiation.
Teachers can easily modify the rubric to meet grading needs, while students choose from multimodal project options that allow them to demonstrate understanding through writing, art, research, or technology-based presentations.
This approach promotes student ownership, supports diverse learners, and keeps engagement high throughout the learning process.
