
Respiratory System Functions - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 7.13A
This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 7.13A standard by exploring the functions of the respiratory system. A choice board presents six structured project options plus a “design your own” pathway, giving students the flexibility to demonstrate their knowledge in a format that best matches their strengths, creativity, and learning style.
An editable grading rubric is included and can be used for teacher assessment, peer review, or self-assessment. Teachers can also customize the rubric to meet specific classroom or district expectations.

Differentiation
Two versions of the project page are included to support a variety of learning needs:

This ensures the projects are accessible, engaging, and appropriately challenging for all learners.
Supplies Needed
Projects are designed to use basic classroom supplies such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many options may also be completed digitally, and optional craft supplies can be incorporated for model-building or creative extensions.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
