This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 7.13A standard by exploring the functions of the nervous system. A choice board outlines six structured project options plus a “design your own” pathway, giving students the freedom to demonstrate understanding in a format that best matches their skills, creativity, and learning style.
An editable grading rubric is included, which can be used by teachers, peers, or students for self-assessment. The rubric can be customized, making it easy to align with classroom or district requirements.
