Resource Management - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 6.11A

This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 6.11A standard by exploring concepts related to resource management. Students demonstrate their understanding through student-directed projects, choosing from six structured options or creating their own with a “design your own” pathway.

An editable grading rubric is provided and can be used for teacher evaluation, peer review, or self-assessment. Teachers may adapt the rubric to align with classroom or district grading expectations.

Supplies Needed

Projects are designed for completion with standard classroom supplies such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many project options can also be completed digitally, while optional craft supplies may enhance hands-on model-building.
