
Compare & Contrast Energies - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 6.8A
This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 6.8A standard by comparing and contrasting different forms of energy. Using a choice board, students select from six structured project options or design their own, giving them the flexibility to show their learning in a way that fits their strengths and creativity.
An editable grading rubric is provided and can be used for teacher evaluation, peer review, or self-assessment. The rubric can also be modified to align with specific classroom or district expectations.

Differentiation
Two versions of the project page are included:

Modified Version: Three project choices are scaffolded to provide extra support for students needing remediation

Challenge Options: Teachers may assign multiple projects to advanced learners while still using the same rubric for consistent grading
This structure allows teachers to easily adapt the activity for a variety of learners within the same classroom.
Supplies Needed
Projects are designed for completion with standard classroom supplies such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many can also be completed digitally, while optional craft supplies may be incorporated for model-building or other creative tasks.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
