Immune System Functions - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 7.13A

This project-based lesson helps middle school students meet the 2021 TEKS 7.13A standard by exploring the functions of the immune system. Using a choice board, students select from six structured project options or design their own, giving them the flexibility to demonstrate their understanding in the format that best matches their strengths, creativity, and learning style.

An editable grading rubric is included and can be used for teacher assessment, peer review, or self-assessment. Teachers can also modify the rubric to align with classroom or district grading requirements.

This design ensures that the resource is adaptable to all levels of learners in the classroom.

Supplies Needed

Projects are designed for completion with common classroom supplies such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many options can also be completed digitally, while optional craft supplies can be used for model-building or creative extensions.
