
Hierarchy of Organisms Station Lab - New TEKS 7.13B
This modular, student-led station lab engages middle school students in exploring the hierarchical organization of cells, tissues, organs, and organ systems within plants and animals. Built around nine differentiated stations, this resource promotes independent and small-group learning while allowing teachers to act as facilitators. It’s a low-prep, high-engagement activity that works equally well in the classroom or virtual settings.

Station Breakdown
Input Stations (building knowledge):

Explore It! – Hands-on demo or activity; digital version includes interactive elements in PowerPoint or Google Slides

Read It! – Differentiated passages (English & Spanish) with vocabulary support and comprehension checks

Output Stations (demonstrating knowledge):

Organize It! – Printable or digital card sorts and categorization tasks

Illustrate It! – Sketches or diagrams to visually represent the hierarchy of organisms

Flexible Implementation
The station lab is fully compatible with PowerPoint and Google Slides, making it adaptable for both in-class and virtual learning environments.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
