
Development of Cell Theory - Student Choice Projects, MS, New TEKS 6.13A
This project-based lesson supports the 2021 TEKS 6.13A standard by helping middle school students explore the development of cell theory and demonstrate their understanding in creative ways. A choice board presents six structured project options along with a “design your own” pathway, allowing students to showcase their learning in the format that best fits their strengths, creativity, and learning style.
An editable grading rubric is included and may be used for teacher evaluation, peer assessment, or student self-assessment. The rubric is fully customizable, making it easy to adapt to your classroom needs.

Differentiation
Two versions of the project page are provided to support diverse student needs:

This design ensures accessibility, creativity, and rigor for all students.
Supplies Needed
Projects are designed to use common classroom materials such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many projects can also be completed digitally, and optional craft supplies can be incorporated for building models or other creative extensions.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
