The Succession & Species Diversity Student Choice Projects cover the 2021 TEKS standard 8.12B and allow middle school students to select a project that matches their preferred output style. The project page outlines six student-led project options plus a “design your own” project, giving students meaningful opportunities to demonstrate understanding in creative, personalized ways. A detailed grading rubric supports evaluation by teachers, peers, or the students themselves.

What Supplies Do I Need?
The Student Choice Projects are designed to use standard classroom supplies such as paper, markers, and scissors. Many project options can also be completed digitally, making them ideal for both in-person and online instruction. Optional craft materials may be helpful for model-building or hands-on projects.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
