
Properties of Solutions - Student Choice Projects, Grade 5, New TEKS 5.6C
These solutions' properties Student Choice Projects cover the 2021 TEKS chemistry standard 5.6C and allow your 5th graders to choose a project that fits their output style. A project page describes six different student-led project options and a “design your own” project. A grading rubric allows for assessments by teachers, peers, or the students themselves. Note: this product is also included in the Properties of Solutions Complete Lesson for TEKS 5.6C.
The Student Choice Projects are flexible and dynamic. Teachers can modify the rubric to suit their grading needs. Multimodal choices provide upper elementary students with creative, personalized methods to show what they know.

DIFFERENTIATED For a Variety of Needs
There are two versions of the project page; in the modified version, three of the project options are targeted to assist students needing remediation or differentiation. For students needing a challenge, teachers can assign a combination of projects and still use the same rubric.
What Supplies Do I Need?
The Student Choice Projects are designed to use the normal classroom supplies teachers and students have available: paper, markers, scissors, etc. Many projects can be completed digitally.
This is a finished product; it will be updated with corrections as needed. Future improvements and new features will be sold as a separate product.
